How the penalties will
be administered:
Penalties will be assessed as either a standard
fixed rate, or as a percentage of the value for duty. Most penalties
will be graduated and continued acts of non-compliance will result
in higher penalties for each additional infraction to a maximum
of $25,000. Some examples are illustrated below.
1)..."Failure
to report" a commercial importation valued at $1600

infraction - $2,000 or 10% of value for duty, whichever is higher
